1) Product Description
The book for introductory microbiology, Brock's Biology of Microorganisms continues its long tradition of impeccable scholarship, outstanding art, and accuracy. It balances the most current coverage with the major classical concepts essential for understanding the science. A six-part presentation covers principles of microbiology; evolutionary microbiology and microbial diversity; metabolic diversity and microbial ecology; immunology, pathogenicity, and host responses; microbial diseases; and microorganisms as tools for industry and research. For researchers, group leaders, senior scientists in pharmaceuticals, chemicals and biochemical biotechnology companies, and public health laboratories.

1) Great text! [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This is a great text! It cuts out all of the BS and just presents the facts. Plenty of illustrations. An easy read.2) This book is the standard for Micro [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I'm a bacteriologist getting my Master's. This book is the standard for Micro. From basic microbiology to microbial ecology and even medical micro, this books is great. However, get yourself the INTERNATIONAL EDITION. I have both books. They are exactly the same. Save yourself some cash.3) The tradition continues [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I bought this as a supplement to my research needs as a bioprocess engineering student. Note that I have not used this for a class. As a reference and for background review, I find this book very easy to use. In all my literature review, the older editions of Brock's are the dominating source with regards to textbook references. So in agreement with the profession, I see no reason to overlook this when considering a microbio book.4) The best text book ever. [Rating: 5 out of 5]
You do need to question your self about this tutle. It is a pure gold in the area.It became the book I ever studied from.5) The book was good [Rating: 5 out of 5]
The book came and it was a hardcover which was great! (I hate softcover books since they get mashed in your bookbag, and dont let it rain, your whole book ruins). The book was as advertised. The only thing I wish it came with was an "A" final grade for Microbiology. :-)Thanks Amazon!
