Entourage is everything viewers have come to expect from an HBO series: smart, hilarious, and highly addictive, especially when taken in full-season, DVD form. As implied in the title, the show follows Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), a rising Hollywood star with bedroom eyes and an over-active libido, along with his three childhood companions-turned-hangers-on. Kevin Dillon plays Johnny Drama, Vincent's less-attractive, B-list actor of a brother (he is Matt Dillon's less-attractive, B-list actor of a brother in real life). Jerry Ferrara plays Turtle, the weasel, and Kevin Connolly appears as Eric, the Everyman hero who hopes to parlay his friendship with Vincent (plus two years of community college) into a career in talent management. Along the way Eric contends with the predictable self-doubt, romantic indecision, etc. The cast is rounded out by Jeremy Piven (Doug Hughley from Singles) as a foul-mouthed agent reminiscent of Jay Mohr's short-lived Peter Dragon character. Finally, it's produced by Marky Mark himself--and you've got to believe that guy knows something about the star-entourage relationship. If possible, watch with a friend so you'll have someone to quote lines back to later. --Leah Weathersby

Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5

1) Unskippable ads   [Rating: 3 out of 5]
I've only seen half an episode so far. The show seems interesting; however, season 1 of the retail package starts with 5-10 minutes of unskippable advertisements for other worthless HBO shows. I consider this a defect in the product.

2) Pedestrian first season shows promise with a couple of secondary characters   [Rating: 3 out of 5]
Perhaps I came too late to the "Entourage" phenomenon, but I was only mildly impressed with the first season of HBO's hit comedy series. Certainly I would not put it anywhere near the hallowed heights of HBO's dramatic successes, "The Sopranos," "The Wire," "Rome," or "Deadwood." The characters just aren't compelling enough."Entourage" tells a fairly familiar tale of young stardom - too much is received too fast for too little. Vincent Chase (Adrien Grenier) is the current "It Boy" of Hollywood - and he doesn't seem to have any clue how he achieved such success (this ain't George Clooney finally breaking out with "ER" years after his "Facts of Life" minor role). He's got girls, money, and fame coming out the wazoo. So Vince surrounds himself with the titular entourage, and we are supposed to fall for this merry troupe as they navigate Hollywood.Kevin Connolly plays E, Vince's best friend from childhood. He's the Responsible One. Jerry Ferrarra plays Turtle, a wigger who is strictly there for (attempted) comic relief. If you think wiggers are funny, Jerry's your guy, I suppose. Kevin Dillon saves the day as Johnny Drama, Vince's older brother and B-list actor (perhaps C-list). Of these three, only Drama offers any compelling reason to watch the show as he struggles with his younger brother's fame while trying to revive his flagging career. There are some surprisingly original scenes with Drama, and they are the highlight of the first season. Also saving the show is Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold, Vince's agent. Ari is essentially a slightly more manic, slightly less cruel version of the movie industry exec played so well by Kevin Spacey in "Swimming With Sharks." He has to represent Vince but has to tolerate Drama, Turtle, and especially E's influence over his prized client. What makes Ari so much fun is the zeal with which Piven throws himself into the role, whether he's trying to salvage a scheduled romantic interlude with his frustrated wife or when he's taking a rival agent down fifteen pegs. Piven is a man to watch, even if we've seen him play Ari Gold in most of his other roles."Entourage" has legions of fans, and for more than just the nudity that keeps popping up (especially in the later episodes). It's a funny first season, and it has promise, but I don't think Season One earns the rave reviews that I've seen thrown at it. But give it a chance - at eight half-hour episodes, it's not a major investment of your time or your brain to check it out.

3) Best price found!   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Easiest way to shop - fast, easy, quick delivery, best price! Couldn't ask for more stress-free Christmas shopping.

4) Awesome Show A Must!   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
We started watching this on HBO but as you know HBO can get expensive. So we found out it was on DVD and bought the first season and we were very happy to be able to watch this show. It is a great series to watch! Johnny Drama is the best!

5) The best-filmed piece of crap show ever!   [Rating: 1 out of 5]
Who should watch this show? stupid boys and men who still think they are boys. Who shouldn't watch this show? women and anyone with an intellect.Ok, maybe I'm being too strong - I tried both first and second seasons, and it mostly seemed to involve 4 jerky guys spend all their days cursing, talking crap about women, screwing women, and really doing nothing else. It makes me feel dirty and makes me want to stay far, far away from Hollywood.
