1) Product Description
In the final season of GOOD TIMES one of the first African-American sitcoms the Evans family grows and the laughs continue. Florida (Esther Rolle) returns from Arizona for the wedding between her daughter Thelma (Bern Nadette Stanis) and football player Keith Anderson (new cast member Ben Powers). She finds J.J. (Jimmy Walker) teaching art so he can help support the family. And brother Michael (Ralph Carter) neighbor Willona (Ja'net Du Bois) Willona's adopted daughter Penny (Janet Jackson) and building super Bookman (Johnny Brown) are also on hand for the best season yet! 1) Good times?   [Rating: 3 out of 5]
Anything but, lol. My sister loves this show and had every season except for this one. I purchased the sixth and last season as a Christmas gift for her, not knowing she had made the purchase already. I kept it for my own collection but haven't watched it. I remember it from TV though and I have to say by the sixth season the sitcom had lost its initial vigor. The addition of Janet Jackson didn't do much to revive the ailing show, as it had lost at least two of its best actors. I would recommend it to the collector who has the rest of the collection, but not as a stand alone.

2) I love this series   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I love this series. By Season Six the series was back on track. Mama came back. Thelma was married to Keith. And J.J. was J.J. By the way, I love the DVD cover. Doesn't it look like they all sat there and specifically posed for this DVD? That's so cool. Does anyone know how Ralph Carter is? I remember reading some years back in The Enquirer that he is HIV-positive. I hope he is staying healthy. The song for "Good Times" was written by Alan & Marilyn Bergman. These are the opening-theme lyrics to "Good Times"Good Times.Any time you meet a payment. - Good Times.Any time you need a friend. - Good Times.Any time you're out from under. Not getting hassled, not getting hustled.Keepin' your head above water, Making a wave when you can.Temporary lay offs. - Good Times.Easy credit rip offs. - Good Times.Scratchin' and surviving. - Good Times.Hanging in and jiving- Good Times.Ain't we lucky we got `em - Good TimesAnd, these are the closing-theme lyrics to "Good Times"MmmmmmJust lookin' out of the window.Watchin' the asphalt grow.Thinkin' how it all looks hand-me-down.Good Times, yeah, yeah Good TimesKeepin' your head above waterMakin' a wave when you canTemporary lay offs. - Good Times.Easy credit rip offs. - Good Times.Ain't we lucky we got 'em - Good Times.

3) A Dynamite Family   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I've been a long time fan of "Good Times". I can practically remember each scene and what each actor or actress will say for their next line. The Evans family should remind so many of us what true family values are. Whether it's good times or bad times.

4) Good Times   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
The DVD was delivered when it was promised. My Down Syndrome brother who requested the DVD loved it.

5) Good Times - The Final Season (1978-1979)   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I am 11 Years Old, and I am a Sitcom King, GOOD TIMES ended heartbreaking for me, because during the past Five Seasons (1974-1978), The show was very Popular and Hilarious during the 1974-1975 season and the 1975-1976 season, in The Start of The 1976-1977 season, James (John Amos), went to work in Jackson, Missisippi, with the Evans clan coming along, but since James was killed in a Car crash, The Show "jumped the shark", at the end of March 1977, Esther Rolle quit the show, because of this she was Ill, and left for the 1977-1978 season, but returned if the Carl Dixon character was never existed, and J.J. (Jimmie Walker) becoming more of a Respective character for African-American children, The Sixth Season introduces new cast member, Ben Powers, who plays Thelma's New interest, Keith Anderson, in the 4-Part episode, and they get married, in January 1979, The show was put on Hiatus, and did not return until May 1979, and Good Times aired it's last episode on Wednesday August 1, 1979.GOOD Times was the hit 70s sitcom for Americans of The United States, but since the final three seasons, wasn't so great, the show had just went downhill, if John Amos returned back to the show, and wouldn't be killed off, the first three seasons (1974-1976), was big hit, but later on, became J.J.'s New Show.
