1) Product Description
Do you ever have deja vu? Didn't you just ask me that? Bill Murray is at his wry, wisecracking bestin this riotous romantic comedy about a weatherman caught in a personal time warp on the worst day of his life. Teamed with a relentlessly cheerful producer (Andie MacDowell) and a smart-aleck cameraman (Chris Elliott), TV weatherman Phil Connors (Bill Murray) is sent to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania,to cover the annual Groundhog Day festivities. But on his way out of town, Phil is caught in a giant blizzard, which he failed to predict, and finds himself stuck in small-town hell. Just when thingscouldn't get worse, they get worse; Phil wakes the next morning to find it's Groundhog Day all overagain... and again... and again.2) Amazon.com
Bill Murray does warmth in his most consistently effective post-Stripes comedy, a romantic fantasy about a wacky weatherman forced to relive one strange day over and over again, until he gets it right. Snowed in during a road-trip expedition to watch the famous groundhog encounter his shadow, Murray falls into a time warp that is never explained but pays off so richly that it doesn't need to be. The elaborate loop-the-loop plot structure cooked up by screenwriter Danny Rubin is crystal-clear every step of the way, but it's Murray's world-class reactive timing that makes the jokes explode, and we end up looking forward to each new variation. He squeezes all the available juice out of every scene. Without forcing the issue, he makes us understand why this fly-away personality responds so intensely to the radiant sanity of the TV producer played by Andie MacDowell. The blissfully clueless Chris Elliott (Cabin Boy) is Murray's nudnik cameraman. --David Chute

1) "I've got you babe..." [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Groundhog Day - 15th Anniversary Edition is the perfect film to watch when you are in a funk. Hopefullly this hit film will put a smile on your face afterwords, Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell are heavenly together. They have great chemistry and you believe their love/hate relationship. This is director's Harold Ramis second best film after National Lampoon's Vacation, I just love his movies. I highly recommend purchasing this classic, enjoy!2) Was this written by Buddhists? [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This unique comedy seems like it has to have been written by a bunch of Buddhists (a friend told me it was, it seems believable to me, but I haven't actually verified that). This movie may very well make you laugh and cry at the same time. Bill Murray's character wakes up the day after Groundhog Day only to find that it is, once again, Groundhog Day, and everyone else is acting as if nothing is off.You will be riveted by his plight as this cycle continues over and overagain, creating an emotional roller coaster that some would say isindicative of the stages of ego release. This is a classic that will enlighten, entertain and provide endless enjoyment for the whole family. What does it take for him to finally break the cycle of the day that never ends? Find out...[...]3) Very Funny [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This movie is one of the funniest movies I ever seen. With my personality, You probably wouldn't expect me to like this movie(If you no me). This is a classic I would not mind watching over and over again. I just finish catching it on TV. It was in the middle of the movie, I was bummed! LOLSo I decided to come here and see if I could find it. While it was on my mind.I'm a 32 year old woman with tons of hobbies and work in my life. When I want to watch a classic funny movie, this is the one to watch!!!4) Bill at his best [Rating: 4 out of 5]
4.5 starsThis really is a classic film, if not a work of deep genius. Murray is as good as he gets, pretty much (though he was often that good in this era---Scrooged, Quick Change, What About Bob?); the script is tight and the premise is brilliant; Andie is at her least annoying; and above all GD is funny as hell at many points.Worth rewatching every few years and/or whenever you need a feel-good romantic comedy.5) One of my favorite movies. [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This movie really grows on you. The first time I saw it, it was okay but the more I thought about the concept and re-watched it, it quickly became one of my favorite movies. Even now, I think about what I'd do if it were "groundhog day"...I love this movie and I really recommend it.
