"The Bride" (Uma Thurman) gets her satisfaction--and so do we--in Quentin Tarantino's "roaring rampage of revenge," Kill Bill, Vol. 2. Where Vol. 1 was a hyper-kinetic tribute to the Asian chop-socky grindhouse flicks that have been thoroughly cross-referenced in Tarantino's film-loving brain, Vol. 2--not a sequel, but Part Two of a breathtakingly cinematic epic--is Tarantino's contemporary martial-arts Western, fueled by iconic images, music, and themes lifted from any source that Tarantino holds dear, from the action-packed cheapies of William Witney (one of several filmmakers Tarantino gratefully honors in the closing credits) to the spaghetti epics of Sergio Leone. Tarantino doesn't copy so much as elevate the genres he loves, and the entirety of Kill Bill is clearly the product of a singular artistic vision, even as it careens from one influence to another. Violence erupts with dynamic impact, but unlike Vol. 1, this slower grand finale revels in Tarantino's trademark dialogue and loopy longueurs, reviving the career of David Carradine (who plays Bill for what he is: a snake charmer), and giving Thurman's Bride an outlet for maternal love and well-earned happiness. Has any actress endured so much for the sake of a unique collaboration? As the credits remind us, "The Bride" was jointly created by "Q&U," and she's become an unforgettable heroine in a pair of delirious movie-movies (Vol. 3 awaits, some 15 years hence) that Tarantino fans will study and love for decades to come. --Jeff Shannon2) Description
With this thrilling, must-see movie event, writer and director Quentin Tarantino (PULP FICTION) completes the action-packed quest for revenge begun by The Bride (Uma Thurman) in KILL BILL VOL. 1! Having already crossed two names from her Death List, The Bride is back with a vengeance and taking aim at Budd (Michael Madsen) and Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah), the only survivors from the squad of assassins who betrayed her four years earlier. It's all leading up to the ultimate confrontation with Bill (David Carradine), The Bride's former master and the man who ordered her execution! As the acclaimed follow-up to the instant classic VOL. 1 -- you know all about the unlimited action and humor, but until you've seen KILL BILL VOL. 2, you only know half the story!

1) Not for small children, not for children period [Rating: 2 out of 5]
Kill Bill Number 2 DVD Kill Bill Number 2 is a continuation of Kill Bill Number 1, of course, this time Uma Thurman finishes her revenge. Nothing like a woman scorned. Somewhat recommended for fans of Uma Thurman and Quentin Tarantino's highly stylized revenge sagas. Warning somewhat bloody. Gunner March 20082) Terrible in a long line of terrible [Rating: 1 out of 5]
Will you people open up your eyes to how boring Tarantino is? There is nothing to "get," which is how most people justify spending money on this garbage. The dialog masquerades as intellectual, because every once in a while it mentions Europe or uses 3-syllable words. I've yet to see an enjoyable movie by this fellow. I do support his capitalism though. He can convince people to spend money on his projects, which means that same money can't go to something that actually affects society. If I don't mention eating disorders, will it work?3) One was way better [Rating: 3 out of 5]
Two is just two.One is everything. The picture and sound are decent. Not perfect. Sometimes boring comparing to part one.4) If you loved Kill Bill 1 you'll love 2 as well. [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Just finishes the story and fills in all the blanks. Not as much Blood and Gore, but, enough to keep it going. You must see both films on the same night. Just great entertainment.5) Not as good as Vol. 1 [Rating: 3 out of 5]
To be honest, I found Kill Bill Vol. 2 a bit of a disappointment. The film has its highlights, such as the fight scene between Uma Thurman's 'The Bride' (aka Black Mamba) and Daryl Hannah's Elle Driver (aka California Mountain Snake), the horrific scene where The Bride is buried alive and the scene where The Bride finally meets Bill face to face for the first time since she was shot by him 4 years previously - which contains a shocking twist. But the film just does not reach the heights of excitement and visual spectacle of Volume 1. Even worse the actual final fight between The Bride and Bill - what everything was leading to - I found a letdown, an anticlimax even, bordering on childish Manga cartoon-style farce. I mean, "5 point palm exploding heart technique"? Come on Tarantino, you can do better than that! So an anticlimax of an ending combined with the film not matching Volume 1 means that I only give this film 3 stars, which is a shame, as I had high hopes for Volume 2.
