You know exactly what you're getting in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: another goofball, slapstick comedy of chaos and catastrophe with Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) and family. This time, there's no traveling involved: Clark and Ellen (Beverly D'Angelo) prepare for a nice Christmas with the kids (played by none other than Juliette Lewis and Roseanne star Johnny Galecki), when their home is invaded by backwoods cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) and his brood, along with assorted other crazy and/or stuffy relatives. Complications, of course, are inevitable. The film is preceded by National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) and National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985) and followed by National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation (1997). Directed by Jeremiah Chechik, who went on to do Benny & Joon and the Sharon Stone remake of Diabolique. --Jim Emerson

1) good for the price.....   [Rating: 4 out of 5]
I have been pricing the regular dvd but have seen it for no cheaper than 15.99. With this only 4 dollars more it was an easy choice. Some inside scenes and blacks are grainy but that can be expected with the age of the film. But overall it is a good blu-ray and great if you love the movie as much as I do.

2) Christmas Vacation   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This is a great movie. I was thrilled that I was able to find it before christmas. All the stores that I went to where sold out and I wanted to get it for a gift for my father. I love shopping at Amazon.com!!

3) Modern day classic   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Feeling the Christmas blues? Need a sarcastic one liner for a friend's Christmas card? Sit back and tune in. One of my holiday favorites.

4) Best Christmas Movie   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This movie starts our family holiday season - we always watch it on or around Thanksgiving and we use many of the phrases in our every day conversation. For instance . . . "are ya serious Clarke?"

5) Hilarious movie!   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This movie is hilarious! If you love great Chevy Chase this is a must have. It's great for Christmas time or anytime of the year. My son and I quote the movie because we've seen it so many times and it never really gets old. This year i bought it for my dad as a Christmas present and he loves having it.
