1) Great Series, Great Package [Rating: 5 out of 5]
It's about time this series came out with a complete box set! I mean, I guess its not really a ... "box" ... but the purse-thing-set is a very nice package to present it in!I bought it as a present and they love it. Highly recommend fellow fans to invest in the collection, it's worth the pricetag.2) AWESOME !! [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I love this collection, not to mention the case it came in!! The movies discs play great and I have the whole series in one! Love it and recommend it highly !!!3) DUBBED MUSIC A RIP OFF [Rating: 1 out of 5]
It is absolutely infuriating that this is not released as aired, original music intact. There are MANY fans that have waited years for this complete release, and now to find that they've cheaped out. I don't care about the cost...have a cheap version for those that can't afford it, and the true version for those who are willing to pay the difference. Just nuts. Any fan, not just purists, will tell you that the music in the show was instrumental to every episode. Whatever possessed these people to think this would fly? .....maybe they should drill holes in their heads to let the demons out....4) MEMORIES OF A GREAT TV ERA [Rating: 5 out of 5]
"NORTHERN EXPOSURE"....SO FAR AHEAD OF IT'S TIME IN CONTENT, WRITING, ETC THAT IT ALMOST FITS BETTER TODAY THAN WHEN IT FIRST AIRED. THIS COLLECTION IS A MUST-HAVE FOR ANYONE WHO CARES ABOUT TELEVISION AND THE AMERICAN EXPERIANCE OF THE LATE 70'S TO MID 80'S.....AND, FRANKLY, THE CARRYING CASE IS A HOOT! I LOVE IT, AND IF YOU ENJOY CHARACTERS THAT DEFY DESCIPTION, SCENIC SETTINGS AND HUMOR -THAT MAKES YOU THINK!!!!!- THEN YOU HAVE TO OWN THIS ANTHOLOGY TODAY!5) What a disappointment! [Rating: 1 out of 5]
Great show but it needs the original music. It's too integral a part of the presentation. Kind of like watching a Fred Astaire movie with someone else doing the dancing.
