Original Sin belongs in the "so bad it's good" category of languid potboilers, offering enough nudity, sexual chemistry, and far-fetched plotting to make it an enjoyable lazy-day diversion. Based on Cornell Woolrich's novel Waltz into Darkness (previous filmed by François Truffaut as Mississippi Mermaid) and set in turn-of-the-century Cuba, the film traces a tailspin of amorous obsession when coffee plantation owner Luis (Antonio Banderas) discovers that his American mail-order bride (Angelina Jolie) is not the plain wife he'd expected, but a beautiful, scheming thief who's after his fortune. The movie asserts that love is truly blind, but absurd twists of plot make Luis appear more stupid than passionate. Writer-director Michael Cristofer fared better with Jolie in Gia; here, he's made another good-looking film about beautiful people, but its plot just can't be taken seriously. --Jeff Shannon

This is one pretty kinky flick starring Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas, both of whom are naked throught most of the movie. There's at least a full half hour of Angelina topless with her buttocks also exposed, perfectly paired alongside Antonio Banderas to show off their bodies. Working out esp. to lose weight and to keep it off is no easy task. When I first started to seriously burned fat I was like 350 pounds and was struggling to do a five pound barbell. Now I have amongst the strongest legs in the world at a trim 40 inch waist with little kids' extra large clothes. Please lose weight. These movies are really just the actors showing off their bodies mostly.3) Original Sin "fantastic chick-flick" [Rating: 4 out of 5]
This film was an excellent purchase, it starts off a little slow but it's a great chick-flick, about love and suduction. The moral of the story is real love can see u through anything even the darkest of times and it can bring new light- great movie Angelina is at her sexiest in this.4) GREAT AMBIENCE, MUSIC AND FLOW [Rating: 4 out of 5]
I loved this picture. I love the soundtrack (can't find it anywhere) and the beautiful scenery. The critics hated this film to the same degree that I loved it. The choreography, settings and photoshots were really interesting magnified by the great music. I found it awe-inspiring, all ending in a wonderful way esp with the song with the credits at the great culmination of the film.5) Great Passionate Love Story [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I really enjoyed this movie! The script is fascinating and the acting is excellent. I think casting the two sexy stars in this very lusty story in an older period Cuban background was right on the mark. I've read some bad reviews and could only agree if I were approaching the movie from a stance of today's reality. The story is unusual to say the least, but describes the life of a severely abused woman who learned the worst side of life and a good hard-working man who was absolutely in love and lust with her; she learns how to truly give her heart, but not before a lot of pain occurs. This movie is full of fire and anyone who has truly in been in love this way would understand. That kind of love has no boundaries.
