I love listening acoustic sets. The music seems more real to me and more personal and this CD did not disappoint me. The three singles from "Songs About Jane" are on this CD; "This Love", "She Will be Loved", and "Harder to Breathe". Each one is just as good as the studio versions. Stripped down to the bare minimum of instruments, the vocals stand out and the words can make their full impact. Maroon 5 also performed a Beatles cover, "If I Fell" which was also amazing.....2) Great short album [Rating: 5 out of 5]
If you like acoustic music - anykind of rock or country or all the above - you will like this album. The only downside is that it's too short. There is also a cover of an AC/DC song that was kinda lame.3) Great Band and Great Music for Maroon 5 Lovers [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I had the pleasure of seeing these guys in concert in 2003 when they opened for Matchbox 20. I had not heard their music before then, and now I am a huge fan. Adam Levine has vocals that haven't been heard in a long time. The debut album "Songs About Jane" was awesome, and every song was as good as the one before. It is sooo hard to find an album that you can say that about. The Acoustic CD was a wonderful example on Adam's voice, he doesn't need very much electrical to sound good, he can prove it on this CD. A must for all Maroon 5 fans4) Bon Scott must be rolling over in his grave. [Rating: 1 out of 5]
i don't really like Maroon 5 (too popular), but some of the songs are ok, as my friends made me listen to this album (torture). Highway to Hell is an insult to AC/DC members. It is a nice song with a truly memorable riff. The guitars here, though, have too much bass and sound as though someone has too much phelgm in his throat. Dums are too punkish, not metal enough. Now, if you want to play music by a band in the rock n roll hall of fame, which is heavy metal, but don't sound metal enough, why play it?5) This is a must have!!!! [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I really love this cd. It showcases the extreme talent of the band. It is a rarity for me to love all the songs on any cd, but I am very happy with this and the other 2 cds that I have of theirs. I love the Beatles cover, as they are one of my favs also.
