Editorial Reviews (supplied by Amazon.com):
1) Amazon.com
An indispensable and definitive collection showcasing the passionate genius of the late rapper. The album's nonchronological sequence highlights the contradictory impulses that made Tupac's music so commanding; the 21 well-loved "hits," some slightly reedited for legal reasons, are accompanied by four previously unheard songs. Of the new material, the raw-sounding "God Bless the Dead" has been the subject of the most speculation, owing to its subject matter: a eulogizing of the late Notorious B.I.G.--a mysterious feat, since Tupac was killed six months before Biggie. And, making its first proper appearance on a Tupac album, the B-side "Hit 'Em Up" stands as the most intense outburst of pure venomous rage ever captured on tape. Whether he's waxing political, philosophical, or just plain paranoid, Tupac's empathetic, charismatic style remains unmatched. --Charley Gothic

Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5
1) A Strong Compilation [Rating: 4 out of 5]
A nice compilation. I'm not a huge rap fan, but 2Pac made some incredible music, and a lot of it can be found on this set.2) Best Rapper Of All TIIIIIIME!! [Rating: 5 out of 5]
There's no doubt that 2pac was a lyrical genius. His flow was the greatest. If you are a true 2pac fan you need to see him perform live by getting the dvd 2pac and Snoop Dog Live at The House Of Blues. He was truly a remarkable talent who died too young. But he still lives in us through his music. It's impossible to get all of his great tracks on 2 cd's but this was a very good start.3) Almost Too Much 2Pac [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This 2-disc collection is a must-have for Tupac fans. It's an excellent overview of his stuff. Each disc is almost one full hour long. Disc 1 has 12 tunes; disc 2 has 13. So the fan gets 25 songs and almost 2 full hours of music. Great deal. Tupac was definitely rap's poet, both as to writing and as to his flow. My favs are: How Do You WAnt It on disc 1 and Changes, California, and How Long with They Mourn Me on disc 2. Note: the 5-star rating is for fans of Tupac, or at least fans of hard-core [tho Tupac is not gangsta] in general. If you're not into rap or have a problem with harsh words, this ain't for you.4) i like this cd [Rating: 4 out of 5]
i like this cd i;ve been wanting it for ever and finally i got it love it!5) good intro [Rating: 4 out of 5]
if you don't have any 2pac albums, this is a perfect start. The songs are very close to what I would have picked for a greatest hits.If you really like 2pac and rap, I would say skip this and buy each of his cd's instead. There still is some great material from him not on this CD
