Editorial Reviews (supplied by Amazon.com):

1) Product Description
GENERAL FEATURES: Beethoven's Wig Sing Along Symphonies are zany stick-in-your-head lyrics set to the greatest hits of classical music. Filled with fact and fancy about the world's most notable composers and their masterpieces, each Sing Along Symphony opens the door to "serious music" in a way that's fun. As a bonus, the orchestral performance of each classical piece is included without lyrics. Educational entertainment for all ages.

2) Amazon.com
Inspired and wildly imaginative, Beethoven's Wig is one of the best introductions to classical music you could give to your children. Featuring snippets of 11 classical music staples--Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Haydn, et al.--the disc and its creators, Richard Perlmutter and friends, pour on the silly lyrics the first time around to familiarize young ears to the old masters. Then in the last half of the record, the orchestra plays the same "serious" music pieces instrumentally. You might cheerfully recall Alan Sherman's popular spoofs of old classical works in Wig and you'll again chuckle at pieces like "Drip, Drip, Drip," which adapts Delibes's "Pizzicato from Sylvia." You'll also marvel at the expertise throughout the CD, with all the pieces well played yet thoroughly fun. Beethoven's Wig is an orchestral treasure with a sense of humor as old or as new as its listeners (and the fun questions that run throughout the CD's liner notes are almost as entertaining as the zany musical interludes). Highly recommended. --Martin Keller

Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5

1) First Children's CD my Husband Recommended Buying   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
We often get children's CDs at the library so we do not get sick of the same songs (especially cheesy children's songs.) But we hadn't gotten this CD in about 2 years and my husband out of the blue suggested it. And then suggested we buy it! That was a shock. Yes, it's that good.

2) Fantastic series for kids   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
The Beethovens Wig CD's are so much fun to listen to because of the funny lyrics, while also familiarizing kids with classical music. We love them.

3) Great classical music for everyday use   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I've enjoyed this music and my kids do too....What a great way to make classical music fun for young people (and adults!)...I especially like that the music is offered with the wonderfully creative words, and then at the end, the classical music stands alone for those who want to hear it as originally intended

4) Beethoven's Wig   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
My Children loved this CD. Fun entertaining music that made everyone laugh, it is a gentle introduction to the love of classical music. Some of the songs name the composer which allows the children to recognize the music and composer when they hear it elsewhere. Although a little goofy I would highly recommend this.

5) Beethoven and Friends   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
What a great way to introduce children to wonderful music and entertain the parents and grandparents in the process. The words are ingenious. There's even a set of lyrics included in case you miss some nuance.
