1) Amazon.com
Legacy is the right title for this album. Boyz II Men were the original, modern-day boy band, predating both 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys. Heavily influenced by doo-wop groups such as the Platters and the Dells and developed by ex-New Edition member Michael Bivins, Boyz II Men quickly rose to heavyweight status after the foursome's 1991 debut, Cooleyhighharmony, their success based on romantic ballads and strong vocals. However, they lacked the charisma and looks to really make an impact on the world, and they're perhaps the only group that could be described as "quietly" selling 35 million records. This collection of their best moments concentrates on their strengths as crooning Cupids, exemplified by their massive hit and classic ballad "End of the Road" (taken from the Boomerang soundtrack). "Hey Lover," featuring LL Cool J, is as energetic as the album gets. Legacy is unabashedly assembled for lovers of slow, romantic bedroom soul. --Jake Barnes

1) Great Music!   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I love Boys 2 Men. The greatest hits cd is awesome. All of my favorite songs they made is on it! I would highly recommend it. Add it to your cd collection!

2) Great melodies, great singing   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
When listening to music, no matter what the genre, the first thing that will get my attention is a catchy or beautiful melody. This is why I love Boyz II Men. This album is chalked full of beautiful melodies sung beautifully. I can't even figure out which are my favorites! Interestingly, it wasn't as big a hit as some of the others, but my favorite is probably "Water Runs Dry" because it's just so unique! Love all of this!

3) Wonderful   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I just love Boys to Men and this is a great CD with some of their greatest songs.

4) Classic gentlemen with talent   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
"...their success based on romantic ballads and strong vocals. However, they lacked the charisma and looks to really make an impact on the world,..." by Amazon's Jake Barnes. When it comes to TALENT and clear SKILL these gentlemen clearly possessed that and more. From their moment of arrival it was evident they were more than just your average group of pop males. Yet to state that they lacked charisma and looks is a unncessary comment with regard to what they do: sing. How about limiting your remarks to the groups dynamics and ability to bring to life melodies and harmonies better than any other group then or now? Making an impact on the world is clearly another way to say the popover success was not there because they were a minority group. The Legacy album is an example of what is missing in todays music: talent and the ability to revamp classics for a new age. I appreciate Boyz II Men because they do what they do exceptionally well. If you like the classics and the sound of individuals that can actually sing and bring a nice sound to your ears, get this album.deepnwords@aol.com

5) Great collection of their Hits   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
The 4 man group from Philadelphia may have been the best R&B group of the early/mid 90's. I have around 850 cd's and only about 5% are R&B albums, but this is one of those albums you have to have in your collection. A lot of the songs take me back to Middle school when they were hits. The only problem I have is there is only 13 songs and under 60 minutes of music, I'm sure they could have found 2 or 3 more good songs the group made over the years to put on here, but with all Greatest Hits albums, you're gonna have some songs people like and some people don't. But Of the 13 songs on here, I'd skip 1, and 1 is ok, a few classics or near classics and the rest are good or great songs. Guests are on 2 songs, both of which are good songs and were #1's, and many of the others on here were #1 songs on the charts. A must have album for any fan of R&B.#1 - 7.5#2 - 6.5#3 - 9.5#4 - 5#5 - 8.5 (f/ LL Cool J)#6 - 10#7 - 10#8 - 9#9 - 8.5 (f/ Mariah Carey)#10 - 9#11 - 8.5#12 - 9.5#13 - 8.5Check all my reviews
