Canadian thrush Celine Dion is primarily a singles artist, which is a good thing, because the soaring, epic style she brings to nearly all of her material is thrilling in four-minute bursts, but nearly overwhelming at album length. Falling into You is Dion's finest attempt to temper that approach--mixing low-key love songs and dance pop between showstoppers such as "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and the Up Close and Personal movie theme, "Because You Loved Me." Dion's take on Tina Turner's Phil Spector experiment "River Deep, Mountain High" is game, but there's little doubt which singer hails from the Great White North and which one is from Nutbush, Tennessee. --Daniel Durchholz

This is my favorite Celine Dion cd with great songs from a woman with an amazing voice, my favorite song is "I Don't Know"

This CD was the first CD that bought me to really know who Celine Dion was. It was the first CD I bought of hers. I then started to look for other Celine Dion CDs. I now have her entire collection. Even the French ones. Celine is the BEST SINGER IN THE WORLD. You go Celine. Susan.

By far the most diverse album of her career, Falling into you explored a new sound for Dion including Pop, Regaee, Gospel and even country. A project that took Dion's music and popularity to superstar levels. This album featured a true diversity and very fresh sound that has not been present on Dion's other releases.The strong opener "It's all coming back to me now" is an epic masterpeice that draws the listener into a variety of emotions and is a very visual, dramatic song. Dion also glides through her tradmark ballads, "Because You Loved Me, All By Myself, and "I Love You" effortlessly. "Falling Into You" is a bit moody and dark and a change for Dion. Dion seems to be the most interesting when she stretches herself like on the very fresh sound of "Seduces Me".Falling Into You is truly a fusion of new sounds and experimental music. This is by far Dion's most critically aclaimed work to date.
