1) Album Description
The road to success is not an easy one - but some handle its hurdles better than others. In 2001 Jimmy Eat World was a widely adored but criminally underappreciated band capable of drawing capacity crowds all over the world, but unable to find a record deal to their liking. Having just been unceremoniously spit out of the major label machinery, the band opted to record a new album entirely on its own dime and let labels come a-calling. The gambit more than paid off, with the resultant Bleed America (later re-titled Jimmy Eat World), yielding the hits "The Middle" and "Sweetness," and ultimately selling over 1.4 million copies in the U.S. By the time two full years of touring had wound down, they'd made triumphant breakthroughs everywhere from Saturday Night Live, being nominated for an MTV Video Music Award and topping, "Best Of" lists at Blender, Alternative Press, SPIN, USA Today, People and Rolling Stone to name a few. Not bad for a little band from Mesa! , Arizona. But then came the problem once all your rock dreams come true, what do you do for an encore? The band's new album, Futures, is the answer to that question. It's a sprawling, gorgeous, heavy-yet-quiet epic with songs ranging from ambitious hard rock to epic ballads. With the hard driving first single "Pain" kicking off the campaign to the beautifully constructed follow up single "Work," Futures is perhaps the best sounding record in Jimmy Eat World's career.

1) Don't give away the end ... [Rating: 5 out of 5]
23 may be the best song ever!!! oh and btw, the rest of the album is pretty freaking good too. Futures, Work, Kill, Pain, and Polaris rock. And the album ends with some song ... well, it is best described by someone else on here with the two words ... HOLY COW.2) My Favorite [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I think I have to say this is my favorite Jimmy Eat World record.I love every song and have listened to this over and over. They continue to be my favorite band.3) Awesome album, must have! [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This is a great album fill with so many great songs. You know how some of the artist come out with a 11-13 songs album but you only ends up liking 2-3 if you're lucky.I love Polaris, 23, Drugs or me, Future, The world you love, Nothing Wrong and I like the rest.Especially Polaris and 23, great composition and guitar cords. Then we get the hunting vocal of Jimmy, just pull you in to one of those chill lethargic mood.I got the duel disc set, the 2nd disc is like the acoustic version of all the songs.4) One of the Best! [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Futures is a fantastic rock album that could be the best album of the year. Each song contains its own sound, which sometimes could mean the album sounds a mess but with Futures Jimmy Eat world manage to turn this into coherency. The band mixes in power rockers like pain and nothings wrong with heartfelt rockers such as kill and polaris. This album is only 11 songs but is well worth its price because it could be in your cd player for a very long time.5) Every Song You Can Listen To.... [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Im not 13 just didnt want to make an account...im 21 and very much into music.1. Futures- *Single* more of the pop side to J.E.W. It just has a great opener and lyrics are sweet. Very catchy song. This song will draw people to this cd. 10/102. Just Tonight . . .- Total change from "Futures" with a faster pace song. I love listening to this song when driving or working out. The middle guitar riff is sweet. Great Song 10/103. Work- *Single* hmm I liked the song when I first heard it but just kinda got bored with it. Its not a bad song but just no alot to it. 7/104. Kill- Kinda have the same feeling as I do with "Work" but not as bad. Good song and love the lyrics. 8/105. The World You Love- Think this was kinda a filler song. I still love it though. Catchy song...cant say anything bad about it. 8/106. Pain- *Single* Tied for the best song on the album. Fast paced and just rocking. I love it. Lyrics are written very well and chorus is awesome. You will love this song. Guitar riff is really good. 10/107. Drugs or Me- What a change from "Pain"....nice slow song that fits good in the middle-bottom of this cd. Kinda a sad song when you listen to it. 9/108. Polaris- This is a yummy song. Its a hidden gem. If you just lay back and want to listen to some music play this song. Makes this cd very strong. 10/109. Nothingwrong- Back to rock!! Love the opener. very very catchy. 9/1010. Night Drive- Lyrics are very well done. This song fits the album very well. 9/1011. 23- BEST SONG FROM JIMMY EAT WORLD!!! I love this song. I listen to it everyday and never gets old. Its long but thats what makes it so good. 11/10
