There's a cool new development in summer singles: they no longer need to be sunny. In fact, the wetter the better. "Umbrella," the first single off Rihanna's ragingly good third album, may be her strongest ditty yet, and that's saying something considering her run of past summer chartbusters. More stylish than "S.O.S." (from A Girl Like Me) and more interesting than "Pon de Replay" (from Music of the Sun), "Umbrella" barrels forward with big, brawny drums and a hot but haunted-sounding vocal. From there, the upbeat numbers chug forth like chilled pina colada mix into a blender: "Breakin' Dishes" trades skillfully on a recent vogue for man-directed venom, and "Shut Up and Drive" borrows "S.O.S."-style from the '80s New Order song "Blue Monday." Both are irresistible. So, too, are a couple of late tracks. "Rehab" and "Lemme Get That," both produced by Timbaland, prove that being an island girl is no barrier to holding one's own amid a sizzling stew of urban beats. In fact, it's a boon--one that'll register with pop music fans instantly. -Tammy La Gorce2) Album Description

1) rihanna's 3rd hit album [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I love this album so much. i cannot stop playing it. This album has cutting edge material that puts her in a different league than the other divas on the block. This album is her first masterpiece. Never falling back on old moves, she has really crafted the finest disc of her short career. This album is the kind of music that builds longevity, and now there ain't no looking back. This album has been certified Platinum.2) luv it!!!!!!!! buy it!!!!!! [Rating: 5 out of 5]

[Rating: 3 out of 5]
Funky. Fresh. Unique. and fun! These are the elements that make up Rihanna's latest album, "Good Girl Gone Bad". When I purchased this album for my younger sister, I immediatly loved it. Her hit, "Shut up and drive" is entertaining and unique, a great combonation!^_^. Her song, "Please don't stop the music" is totally hyper and like nothing I have EVER heard before!:) Her track, "Hate that I love you" is OK, and I, personally think that Ne-Yo sounds stupid in it, but that's just me ;-). Her song, "Breakin' Dishes" gives me a head ache! Rihanna's style of music for this album has definitely changed since her other album, "A girl like me". Overall, this album rocked at first, but then got a little annoying and dumb *rolls eyes*. Hmmm..... well it's pretty iffy about me recomending it for you. But I would gladly return it back if I had it (like I said, it's my sister's), but my sister LOVES it! So yeah, it's pretty EVEN.4) Good Girl... Real Good Album [Rating: 4 out of 5]
Must admit,I wasn't into Rihanna much until I heard Umbrella.Very slowly the song grew on me. Then Shut Up and Drive came out. It really caught me.Enough to make me buy the album. Figuring there had to be other cool songs on it.Don't Stop The Music,Rehab and Good Girl Gone Bad are the other highlights on this fine pop album.Must also admit, her look is dazzling.I look forward to her next effort .She has a new fan.I give the album solid 4 for crafty pop music. Go out and get it now,if you have been hesitant. It is real good.5) Pleasantly surprised [Rating: 4 out of 5]
Though not a strong vocalist, the producers have a done a great job of making the songs fit her voice. Pure pop fluff, but well worth the $10.00.
