Trey Songz is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter who hails from Petersburg, Virginia. Having drawn musical inspiration from a wide variety of contemporary R&B/ Hip Hop artists, his songs are filled with a passion and a mosaic of his young adult life. Though he is still a "baby" in the game he has cut his teeth writing and collaborating with some of the industries most respected artists and producers including: Juvenile, Twista, Scott Storch, Troy Taylor, Organized Noize, Dre & vidal, Lil Jon, Track Boyz, Patti LaBelle, Donnell Jones, Gerald Levert, T.I., Omarion, & Obie Trice. His music can best be described as, R&B with Hip-Hop urgency!

I bought this album when it first came out. There was all this hype surrounding him that he was the future of R&B. Well... I was rather unimpressed by this CD and stored it away after one listen. There's nothing new here. Songs about love making, blah, blah, blah. There's even a song about a girl's... behind, cleverly titled "Ur Behind." (Me being the innocent person I am, I actually thought that it was going to be about something different, like someone being behind in a relationship. You know, something with substance. Silly me.) His vocals are nothing special and aren't distinctive. The songs are bland. This is the same stereotypical male R&B that the music industry have been feeding us since the early 90s. An R. Kelly clone. If I may suggest someone, Anthony Hamilton is the way to go if you want something soulful and great. Skip this.4) Absolutely Great [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Trey Songz is the truth. I slept on him for a long time. He has a true R&B voice. Although I agree that his production is a bit weak at times, aka "oooh" and "ur behind" but his voice still shines through on the album. My favorite songs are "cheat on you" and " hatin love" .5) NEVERSON IS THA MAN!!! [Rating: 5 out of 5]
WOW IM LATE BUT FINALLY I GOT IT!! WOW TREMAINE HAS TALENT HES NOT JUST SOME GOOD LOOKING GUY THAT GETS OFF BY HIST LOOKS! HES SMOOTH AND LAID BACK!! PLUS HIS SONGS ARE REAL ... MEANING HE SAYS WHATS ON HIS MIND AND KEEPS IT REALL! LIKE CHEAT ON YOU IS SOO TRUE WHAT BE GOING IN RELATIONSHIPS! AND HES A GENTLEMEN! LOL INSTEAD OF HIM GOING UP TO A GIRL AND SAYING "YO B%$$^ I WANNA F$#* YOU" HES LIKE "I JUST WANNA CUT TONITE PLEASE DONT SAY NO"!!LOL BUT IN ALL I LIKE HIM! HES GOOD! SINCE HE STARTED OUT AS A RAPPER HE HAS THE HIP HOP STYLE.. THAN FOR HIM BEING SUCH A BIG R KELLY FAN HIS STYLE REMINDS YOU OF KELLY WHICH I THINK TREY IS WAY BETTER! I KNOW ITS NOT GOOD TO COMPARE WHEN THE PERSON IS JUST GETTING HIS GIG OUT THERE...
