Editorial Reviews (supplied by Amazon.com):
1) Album Description
This is the NYC trio's first full-length in over four years and is a fascinating departure from their two previous records. ''Matthew Caws has matured into an acme-level surgeon of life, lyrically smart without clever-clever'' - Mojo. Barsuk. 2003.

1) One of my absolute favorite albums... [Rating: 5 out of 5]
It's catchy, it's fun, it's indie! This is the greatest album for a long drive! Every song is great, of course some are better than others, but there is not one bad song. It will leave you saying, "I'm glad I listened to that". Seriously if you don't own this, do your self a favor and go buy it!2) A gem [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Having bought The Weight is a Gift and loving it I decided to buy Let Go and listen to it. I found an album I totally loved and that I can listen to over and over again. Each time I listen to it I enjoy it even more. I love all the songs, but my favorite songs have become Paper Boats and Blonde on Blonde. These songs (both the lyrics and music) are incredibly beautiful and Nada Surfs voices superb. Let Go seems to be about the ups and downs of relationships while The Weight is a Gift is all about the ascendany of love. The only thing I might say about this album that could have been improved upon is that the song that is in French should have been translated on the CD liner.3) Great CD [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Delivery was quickewr than expected although I live in a remote part of Italy. Also no surprises in payment and address info. Good work4) "Let Go" of Your Shekels and Buy This CD [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I'm a latecomer to Nada Surf, and now I rue the lost time I could have spent replaying the songs of this excellent cd. LET GO is funny, plaintive, poignant, but not syrupy. Just when the material seems a bit melancholy, the next song is confident and upbeat. In other words, LET GO has got that perfect balance of musicianship, tunefulness, and structure that a pop music lover digs. I don't have a lot more to say about this band. Why waste time praising (near) perfection?SIDELIGHT: The iTunes genre this falls under is "Alternative and Punk." Not. This seems like the default genre selected for contemporary rock/pop bands.5) Good Mellow Rock, For The Most Part [Rating: 4 out of 5]
I think somebody compared Nada Surf to Toad the Wet Sprocket. I think it is a fair comparison. Most of the songs are mellow, guitar based numbers with a few faster songs thrown in. One of the latter types is "The Way You Wear Your Head" which is the reason I bought the CD. It's the best song on the CD in my opinion and one of my favorite all-time tunes. It may be an easy, pop-hook tune, but what's wrong with that? It's fun as heck!! Another song, "Hi-speed Soul" could very well be a Toad the Wet Sprocket song."Treading Water" is another faster paced song with good hooks. The rest are good, fairly mellow tunes which I enjoyed.
