1) Bland , Disappointing Selections, in all....   [Rating: 2 out of 5]
Smallville is a television show that knows how to use great music to establish the feel for each episode. So many great songs by many great artists have been played out lengthly over so many seasons. The soundtrack, titled Volume 1 the Talon Mix, is however disappointing when you consider the range of songs the album could support.Remy Zero's title song 'Save Me' Is of course present, and the memorable Lifehouse song "Everything"...Track 2 was great..but then on.....the rest of the choices are very bland, many of the tracks sound very similar, laid back relaxing Sunday music...Not my type of music..More fitting to the OC than Smallville's taste in music..while many of the songs that feature in the episodeds are missing. The soundtrack to Buffy the Vampire Slayer featured more than a few songs that did not appear in the show, but most of those songs were actualy better (In My opinion) than certain songs that did appear on the show. With Smallville this is not the strong case.I'd say this was a case (as it often is) Of money being an issue for certain artists, which is a shame. The volume 2 soundtrack is not much better, and apparently further volumes will not be happening, whcih is a crying shame because there are much more worthy songs that could have filled up the tracks.

This is the best CD I own.... it also is the favorite CD of my 23 year old son...so...o.oo..o crosses the age lines.

4) Must have for all Smallville fans!   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Great cd and super collector's item for all Smallville fans! You'll love hearing the full length version of the theme song "Save Me," plus the songs are all terrific and take you back to the shows in which they aired.

5) Talon   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
A very enjoyable CD. I like being able to listen to the music of TV series, such as Smallville, which I have especially enjoyed. I am really pleased that CDs like this are available.
