Editorial Reviews (supplied by Amazon.com):

1) Amazon.com
When you come up with the most-played radio hit of the year, there is no need to wrack your brains for a follow-up. Lifehouse, who earned such a distinction with 2001's highly addictive "Hanging by a Moment," shrewdly stick to the emotional guitar-rock palette of that breakthrough single for most of their second album. "I wouldn't change a thing," frontman Jason Wade declares on the searing "Spin," and the band follows through on powerful, life-affirming tracks such as "Wash" and "Take Me Away." Produced by Ron Aniello (Days of the New), mixed by Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, U2), and written primarily between tours, this is the kind of ambitious and endearing album that suggests its makers won't settle for anything less than global domination. --Aidin Vazari

Customer Reviews (supplied by Amazon.com):
Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5

1) decent   [Rating: 4 out of 5]
has 5 good songs. lifehouse is a great band and a musician will notice their great play.

2) What can I say?.....   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
All I can say is that Lifehouse is such a beautifully talented group and there music touches the soul. I own every single CD and I recommend them all.

3) Another Great Album   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This album is a little more upbeat than Lifehouse's debut album. I find the songs on here very unique. I love that there is a mix of rockier songs like "Spin" and "Anchor" and slower songs such as "Stanley Climbfall." This album deserves much more recognition. There are definitely many great songs!

4) A Successful Follow Up   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
It was hard to repeat the success of their amazing debut [ASIN:B000050HZO No Name Face]], but Lifehouse found some way to craft a worthy "swquel".Stanley Clibfall is a different CD than No Name Face. It isn't as mellow and the songs are as deeply religious, but that only makes it a classic in its own right.Spin, the first single, and the most known, doesn't do this great CD justice. It's nowhere near the best song on the album. The songs I suggest are Stanley Climbfall, Just Another Name, Take Me Away, Empty Space (#1 favorite) and The Beginning. Awesome CD. You won't be disappointed.Highly recommended. Also:No Name FaceLifehouseWho We Are

5) Lifehouse Asserts Itself with Sophomore Effort   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
The boys of Lifehouse were left with quite a daunting task when they began recording their second album, the follow up to the multi-platinum debut "No Name Face" which included the most played song of the year 2001, "Hanging By A Moment." Lead singer Jason Wade penned most of the tunes for "Stanley" on the tourbus between shows. The result is a finely crafted piece of rock and roll melted together with dashes of adult contemporary and pop music. The cd plays out like this:1. Spin- 8/10 ratingFirst single off the album. A catchy tune with a rockin hook but one could do without the singing during the bridge and the lengthy instrumental at the end of the song that the radio cuts out.2. Wash- 7/10 ratingA solid tune that starts out with a distorted guitar and builds up to a catchy chorus.3. Sky Is Falling- 8/10 ratingVery melodic and beautiful song.4. Anchor- 6/10 ratingThis song is good, but one can become lost in the chorus when Wade becomes very difficult to understand, not one of the best songs on the album.5. Am I Ever Gonna Find Out- 7/10 ratingA forceful song that ends as quickly as it begins. A new sound for Lifehouse on this song, and a good one at that.6. Stanley Climbfall- 10/10 ratingA beautiful ballad, this song is flawless both musically and lyrically. Possibly the best song on the album.7. Out Of Breath- 8/10 ratingSimilar to the smash "Hanging By a Moment" as far as tempo is concerned, this is another catchy rock tune from the boys.8. Just Another Name- 6/10 ratingNot one of the best songs on the album, this mid-tempo tune loses the listener in the boring chorus.9. Take Me Away- 10/10 ratingThe second single off the album, this is another masterpiece from Lifehouse. Rivals "Stanley Climbfall" as the best track on the cd.10. My Precious- 6/10 ratingA dull song that Wade wrote in a similar way to "Hanging By a Moment" where he wrote it during the recording of this album. Too bad the result of this song wasn't as successful.11. Empty Space- 9/10 ratingBeautiful ballad with wonderful lyrics.12. The Beginning- 9/10 ratingAnother wonderful song that builds up to a strong bridge.13. How Long- 9/10 ratingA great bonus song about the 9/11 attacks, this song shows off the emotinal side of Lifehouse.14. Sky Is Falling (Acoustic)- 8/10 ratingGreat rendition of a great songOverall, this is a marvelous cd from the boys of Lifehouse. Although they may not garner as much airplay with any of these songs as they did with the freakishly popular smash "Hanging by a Moment," this cd will get its share of radio hits and will help further the career of these talented musicians.
