I'm not a big fan of U.S. comedians. Bill Hicks and George Carlin are quite funny but bore me after a while, whereas guys like Dane Cook don't even count - they're just irritating. I love Chris Rock, probably my favourite comedian, but this album is my favourite comedy album ever. I first listened to it on a night bus to Goa in India, when I couldn't sleep and I have never laughed so much - bemused looks from fellow passengers! His delivery is all part of his charm and the jokes themselves come thick and fast. Stand-outs for me include Mitch wanting a new phone no. "22222222 - just press 2 for a while!" and his lucky number being 4 billion - not much good in a crap shoot "come on 4 billion!". Absolutely hilarious. It's true that only the good die young - Mitch is dead and Dane Cook is still alive. Buy this album.3) I love Mitch! [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I would not recommend listening to Mitch while driving, my friends and I were listening to this on a road trip and had to stop because we were all laughing so hard and no one could concentrate on the road. This man is one of the best comedians, I saw him live at Jokers Comedy Cafe in Dayton Ohio. He made my face hurt from laughing. I am sorry to hear he has left us. But I will play his cd/dvd for a long time.5) My Own Words [Rating: 3 out of 5]
I liked Mitch All Together much better. Strategic Grill Locations must have been his first comedy CD because he seems too messed up and unsure of himself to be as funny as he was.
