Great songs on here. Like hard hitting rock demon hunter is for you.My heartstrings come undone really is a great song. Less then nothing is a good one, Fast pace heart beating one that is. Everything was white is great one. And the list just goes on and on. This cd rocks hard belive me.Keep up the great work demon hunter. Great christian band all the way.

2) Still Their Best   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I'm not a girl but I'm using my mom's Amazon account.I have the 4 DH CD's currently out and listen to them all frequently. I must admitt, I have recently given Storm the Gates and the Triptych a lot more attention than I have Summer of Darkness, but I just went back and listened to this CD through and man is it a good CD. Every song has it's hight points, and, yes, some of them have some lowpoints, but doesn't everything? The question then becomes: What does Summer of Darkness have that makes it the best to me? Many things as listed below:1. Heartstrings - You like Carry Me Down? Deteriorate? Those are great songs, but they cannot rival the beautiful chorus of Heartstrings. This is their best "soft" song, and it will ever remain so.2. Good "Screamo" Voice - Sorry to say, but since they stopped doubling his voice on the verses, he sort of just sounds like he's burping or something like that. He sounds best on this CD.3. Best Guitar Sound - The guitar sound thicker on this album.4. Great Choruses - One of Demon Hunter's best qualities is their singing choruses. On Triptych and Storm, they have taken out much of the background growling, which takes away from the power of the chorus and the unike sound they have been able to get. For the best choruses (while they're all great) listen to Not Ready to Die, Summer of Darkness, I Play Dead, and The Latest and the Last.I Play Dead is their best song on any CD, Summer of Darkness has the bast chorus of all (with others right up there), and Everything Was White has the best verse, on this CD at least. Too bad they don't all come together in one mega-song, but oh well. The hunt is on!

3) Demon Hunter lets their light shine   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
Demon Hunter really lets their light shine. I really enjoy the dual vocals that they do. my one complaint about this album is that they don't have any cover songs on it. the last album they did has "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" by Prong. I have a beef for those that criticize this band because of its Christianity. I am a Christian and I not only listen to Christian metal, but all types of metal as well, except alt metal, and I want to say that if you don't like Christian metal, don't listen to it, and spare your criticisms for something else.

4) -thumbs up-   [Rating: 4 out of 5]
Who cares what religion they are, they friggen ROCK. I love the way he growls and screams.

5) Excellent   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I discovered Demon Hunter just recently. Quite simply, Summer of Darkness is one of the best metal albums I have added to my collection in the last 10 years. The band is obviously very passionate about its work, which really shows in their music. In every respect, this is an excellent contribution to the genre.
