1) Amazon.com
Take equal measures of Gallagher and Kraftwerk, mix in a 15-year supply of blue body paint and shake with a double-shot of modern marketing savvy and you might have something akin to Blue Man Group. This ambitious second album by New York performance artists cum entrepreneurs Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton, and Chris Wink expands their central artistic contradiction--mainstreaming the alternative--with a propulsive cocktail of rhythm, irony, self-invented instrumentation, and bona fide song structures that feature turns from guest stars Dave Matthews (the music hall dirge "Sing Along") and Tracy Bonham ("Up to the Roof," and with Rob Swift, "Shadows Pt.2"). The conceit is vaguely reminiscent of the Tubes' tongue-in-cheek ode to '80s corporate rock, "The Completion Backwards Principle," right down to being so convincing the irony often melts away. Fans of their live performances will appreciate its wall-to-wall rhythmic thrust and quirky textures, while aficionados and newcomers alike should welcome its surprising, seductive melodies and mature songwriting. --Jerry McCulley2) Album Description

Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5
1) A Complex album.. [Rating: 4 out of 5]
This is the second album produced by Blue Man Group, based on their "Rock Concert" tour, and it is very different from the first. The first album had no words at all, but this album has vocals on almost every track. It's got a lot of slow tracks, but there are a few really rocking tracks as well. My personal favorites are Tracks 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, and 13. This album has a very high replay value. I could listen to this at least once a week2) Blue Man Group Purchase [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I saw blue man group in concert and they were great. The cd does do them justice. It is different music from the concert I went and saw but it was still really good. I enjoy them very much.3) It is to complex! [Rating: 5 out of 5]
This CD was way better than The Current, I Feel Love, Audio, or Complex Rock Tour on CD. The tracks on this CD were created with vocals and by lyrics. The complex in BlueMan series. There is a gray world with a big urban city and nothing but red lights in windows and an office with stick people on the doors and they all are trying to escape the complex world. The blue men are trying to make it to the roof and escape the underground office with under that is a current eletrical lab with wires and L.E.D signs. The lyrics go along with that plot vey well. On the track Exhibit 13, when it is over, wait 3 minutes and an extra song will come on 3 minutes after Exhibit 13 is over. The drama of this album goes along with the Blue Man Group side of this. The cover of this CD shows one head in the middle and 3 Blue Men. This is the rock consert manual on CD with song number 2 Time To Start. 1. Above2. Time To Start3. Sing Along4. Up To The Roof5. Exhibit 13( 3 Minutes After Exhibit 13 is over there will be a credits song called Mandelbrot 4)( This was a story of the Blue Men if they didn't follow their bliss as seen in Inside The Tube which is a DVD being released in 2006 )Grade: A+++++4) Great Driving Music! Fun for Exercise... [Rating: 4 out of 5]
Not as good as the DVD but once you've seen the DVD you can picture the movements that go along with the songs. I purchased this after seeing the concert and it is great if you are going on a long or boring road trip, during exercise or just as a pick-me-up...much better and more healthy than drugs or coffee!5) Blue Man Group is just awful [Rating: 1 out of 5]
I saw the Blue Man Group in Orlando and feel completely ripped off, I wanted to warn anyone who hasn't gone to "embrace the magic." Do not waste your money on these mediocre Teletubbies! Men throwing marshmallows at each other and occasionally catching them in their mouths! Pulling pre-approved audience members on stage to put plugs in their ears attached to drumsticks, while someone off stage makes silly noises. The folks that say, "they get it," never seem to be able to explain what there is to get. This is not Neil Peart, this is three guys that can (sort of) play drums together. No special skills or innovative imagination rquired!Imagine the carbon footprint!
