Brad Paisley's previous release, Mud on the Tires, was the sort of landmark album nearly every artist has difficulty topping. Not so this time. On Time Well Wasted, Paisley's voice--never overwhelmed by overmixed instruments (a problem dogging many current vocalists)--remains keenly focused. There's quality material in abundance, heavy on originals and delightfully quirky bonus tracks. The album's first hit, Paisley's self-penned "Alcohol," has the potential to become a lasting anthem in a genre where booze songs long ago became an art form. Guy Clark's "Out in the Parkin' Lot," a duet with Alan Jackson, sounds more organic, less contrived than most Music Row pairings. The same applies to "When I Get Where I'm Going," a spiritual duet with Dolly Parton. As in the past, Paisley's country-jazz Telecaster prowess (phemonenal on the dazzling instrumental "Time Warp") remains remarkable, as does his insistence that his sidemen get ample space to shine. Such assets set Paisley apart, as does his ability to make real creativity commercially successful in a Nashville concerned mainly with the latter. --Rich KienzleMore Brad PaisleyWho Needs PicturesPart IIMud on the Tires

2) Album Description
Time Well Wasted reunites Brad with producer Frank Rogers for a 16-track collection sporting 10 selections from Paisley's pen, including first single, "Alcohol," the fastest-rising chart single of his career. Look for multiple guest stars, including Dolly Parton (featured on "When I Get Where I'm Going") and Paisley labelmate Alan Jackson, who duets on the Guy Clark/Darrell Scott gem, "Out in the Parkin' Lot."

Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5

1) I love Brad Paisley's music   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
My favorite song on this album is "She's Everything". This is the song I dream my Mr. Right plays for me some day.

2) Brad Paisley Time Well Wasted   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
We all waste time, but Brad Paisley lets us know that some things are well worth "wasting time" on. Many of the tracks are introspective and make a listener think, not only about the songs, but about life in general. Listening to the words...some have a really deep meaning for life, but are fun to listen to. The message comes across in a fun way. I play this one in my car too when I have to drive for work. There's fun mixed with life meaning and Brad isn't afraid to poke fun at things that seem to have taken over our lives, rushing to get somewhere, etc. There is also a reverence for mankind and God that comes through some of the songs, in my opinion. I would buy this again and am very glad that I bought it to begin with. Good music and good values can intertwine with Brad Paisley.

3) WHEN I GET WHERE I'M GOING   [Rating: 5 out of 5]
WELL, HERE I AM AGAIN...I GOT THIS CD BECAUSE IT HAS THIS SONG ON IT & HAVING JUST LOST MY SON, THE WORDS REMINDED ME OR HELPED ME KNOW WHERE HE IS NOW....WALKING BESIDE HIS GRANDFATHER & FLYING FREE LIKE AN EAGLE & FISHING WITH HIS UNCLE...ETC. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL SONG. CLAUDIA aka..MOM

4) All but the Cornography   [Rating: 4 out of 5]
Loved everything about this CD EXCEPT the stupid Cornography tracks. Had nothing to do with Paisley and his music. The space was better served with another song. What was up with those idiot tracks????

5) Almost Perfect   [Rating: 4 out of 5]
I really like this guy, as he is as near to real country that we are going to find in this pop crazed culture. Good songs: When I Get to Where I'm Going, The World, Waiting on a Woman. I know so many people love She's Everything, and I appreciate the sincerity, but it just doesn't work for me. You Need a Man Around Here is funny, but not his best. Those are my only two complaints. His guitar work is even better here than on his previous records, and that is saying a whole lot, because the man can jam. It's worth getting--especially if you are a huge fan. Brad isn't perfect, but who is? He comes darned close in his music!
