Trent Reznor has always been a one-trick-pony, but it's a damn good trick: sunny melodies filtered through ferocious electronics. Unfortunately, the trick's impact was often watered down by a tendency toward petulance and self-absorption. Still, almost six years after NIN's last release, The Fragile, the trick itself has lost none of its Teen-Beat-from-hell appeal. With Teeth blisters from the start with "All the Love in the World," and tracks like "The Collector" take full advantage of Dave Grohl's sledgehammer drumming. Reznor stretches occasionally, trying out different tactics, from crunchy, overtly commercial rave-ups ("The Hand That Feeds") to borderline New Wave ("Only"). But Teeth isn't about stretching. It's about doing the same trick, only better, with less clutter and more bite. By neatly distilling the sparseness of Pretty Hate Machine with Downward Sprial-style density, it ends up being the most focused record in the NIN catalog. -Matthew Cooke

1) Best Album [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I reccommend this album 100%. This is the best NIN album to date. This is truly a MUST BUY. To me, a complete NIN collection isn't P.H.M, Downward Spiral, The Fragile, With Teeth, Year Zero. To me, a complete NIN collection is "With Teeth", that's all you need (but if you must have a second album, make it either "The Fragile" or "The Downward Spiral"). Can I get an amen. The best songs include "With Teeth", "Only", and "Halo 8/The Hand that Feeds". Trent is incredible, though, he's one man and look how far he's come in his musical career and how popular he's become, and how many albums he's sold. Buy this album today, for 1 to enjoy one of Trent's greatest works and amazing songs (lyrically and quality-wise) and second to support my pick as "the best Industrial artist ever" (50% royalties go to Trent if you buy it new from Amazon). So again: I reccommend that you buy this masterpiece that is a greatest hits compilation in itself. Thank you for releasing this wonderful album, Trent, and here's to many more albums and wonderful music-making years.BUY THIS ALBUM TODAY!!! WITH_TEETH2) Captivating Sadness [Rating: 5 out of 5]
I was first introduced to Nine Inch Nails when I saw a Quake 3 trailer which mentioned that it had music composed by NIN. I never really got to hear the Quake 3 music but the association was enough to make a good first impression. At that time, I hardly knew Rock, let alone Industrial.Incidentally, NIN was never played by any of my friends from whom I used to get my music in the early days, around the time that I discovered Rock and Heavy Metal. A few years later, The first time I heard their music was when a fried pushed some of it on to me. Yet, I didn't take much notice. Instead, I got four discs of Ozzy/Black Sabbath stuff, none of which I really like. On my last trip to the store, I noticed With Teeth on the stands. It was selling for... hold your breath... INR 750! Gave up on the purchase.Recently I made my first purchase on Amazon and the experience turned out to be so good that I went back on a shopping spree. I ended up ordering four Audio CDs and three movie DVDs. With Teeth by Nine Inch Nails was one of them and it arrived along with Prodigy's "The Fat of the Land". The first day I listened to With Teeth only once and then totally tripped on Prodigy. But somewhere in the back of my head, the notes from With Teeth's first song, "All the Love" got stuck.Over the next few days, the notes kept strengthening. They made me listen to NIN while I wanted to listen to Prodigy. And the more I listened, the more I got hooked. Now I'm hooked bad! With Teeth is a very dark and depressing album. With the slow industrial tunes of gloom (I never thought it was possible to make gloomy Industrial, though this album is probably their least synthetic), you've got gloomy lyrics too. Sample this:> no one's heard a single word i've said> they don't sound as good outside my heador> you can live in this illusion> you can choose to believe> you keep looking but you can't find the woods> while you're hiding in the treesHyper stuff. I feel sorry for Prodigy and System of a Down. I'm not gonna touch their discs for quite some time until my NIN-mania takes a break.3) great album [Rating: 5 out of 5]
worth owning but have to say the track called capital g, is good but when it starts outwell can you say hee hee, the way you make me feel, it really turns me on, lol4) What We've All Been Waiting For! [Rating: 4 out of 5]
With Teeth is Trent Reznor's 5th major album under the Nine Inch Nails. For those of you who are new to Nine Inch Nails, it is a industrial rock band created solely by Trent Reznor. It took Trent 6 years to come out with With Teeth. This was actually the first CD I bought of NIN. I had previously heard of the band and a few songs but never really got into them but I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. I really enjoy With Teeth. I'm actually not a big fan of Industrial Rock but for some reason I like this CD. Some of my favorite songs are "All The Love in the World," "Right Where It Belongs," "With Teeth," and "Only." Another cool thing Trent Reznor did was release his CD for free as music editing files. This adds a ton of value to the CD if you are interested in creating remixes or just seeing how his song is structured by instrument. Overall I'd highly recommend With Teeth to any Industrial Rock fan.5) My favorite NIN [Rating: 4 out of 5]
Such a powerfull album. "The hand that feeds" is absolutley my favorite NIN song and the entire albom is as good.
